Your child will thrive in a nurturing and active learning environment. Our caring teachers spend lots of time cuddling and talking with your child to provide a healthy setting for movement, exploration, learning, and play.
Your child’s whole developmental success is the focus of our experienced teachers. For infants, we gear our program structure on developmental milestones, such as grasping, rolling over, walking, emotional expression, socialization, and developing language.
For infants, the daily schedule is tailored around each child’s individual schedule. Each infant’s specific rhythms of eating, sleeping and exploring are specific to his or her own needs. Bottle feeding is individualized based on the child’s needs and input from parents.
Coordinating feeding with families is especially important for infants. Nursing mothers are welcome any time to feed their babies. Families can provide breast milk for teachers to bottle feed their babies.
Nutrition is an important part of a child’s development, so we serve organic meals and healthy snacks. We work with you when introducing solids into your child’s diet.

Babies are born learning. Very young children are learning through play, the active exploration of their environment, and, most importantly, through interactions with the significant adults in their lives.
“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.”
O. Fred Donaldson, Ph.D and Author
Recent research confirms that the first five years are particularly important for the development of the child’s brain, and the first three years are the most critical in shaping the child’s brain architecture. Early experiences provide the base for the brain’s organizational development and functioning throughout life. They have a direct impact on how children develop learning skills as well as social and emotional abilities.
The children, even in the infant room, are introduced to many different art projects and experiences. The teachers work each day to develop the child's physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.

As a learning organization, Concordia Place is committed to continued improvement. We have learned that distinguishing between the Concordia Place and Concordia Day brands was not necessary.
Starting May 1, all visitors to concordiaday.org will be redirected to day.concordiaplace.org
By unifying around the sole use of the Concordia Place brand, we will provide clarity and focus on our mission to serve families and provide both care and education for their children.
