Concordia Place is a collaborative workplace, which means coworkers check in with each other. They share ideas with one another and help each other solve problems. This supportive environment is so important for a workplace, especially in childcare.

Mission

Concordia Place disrupts social inequities through access to top-quality education, enrichment, and hands-on experiences that includes all children, teens, and families—together.

Vision

Inspired by faith, Concordia Place envisions bigger and better tomorrows where rich diversity strengthens learning and growth for all.

Pathway for Growth

Two people ascend stairs going in two different directions, along with a ladder reaching the middle platform. This represents being able to grow and change your career with education, experiences, and opportunities at Concordia Place.

Concordia Place values your professional advancement. We create paths for both growth within your position and for upward promotion. For example, as teaching staff increase their education and gain more experience, they are eligible for advancement within their current position. You simply submit transcripts of additional college credit courses to our Human Resources team.

Team members performing beyond the requirements of their job and contributing to the enrichment excellence in our mission are eligible for promotions to more advanced positions. Managers will even work with team members interested in other areas to explore options and help identify ways to gain skills and knowledge perhaps not readily available in their Concordia job.

Our Guiding Principles

A team as diverse as those we serve

A pie chart of staff diversity, breaking down as 47% Latino, 26% White, 18% Black, 7% Other, and 2% Mixed-Race.

A Place of Yes: With our “Yes” mindset, we find the yes and are driven to serve the growing and changing needs of those around us.

A Place for All: We welcome everyone and believe rich diversity strengthens learning and growth for all.

Place of One: We have a team as diverse as those we serve. With our different faiths, backgrounds and cultures, we are a team, a family, united by our passion and mission to serve. We strive to foster a culture and community that says, “You belong here.”

Place of Excellence: Excellence is a hallmark of who we are and is integral in everything we do, from program design to everyday operations.

Faith in Action: Concordia Place is the community ministry of Concordia Church. Our programs are offered without regard to a person’s beliefs, and Concordia Place is an equal opportunity employer.
