A new family learns about the home visiting program.

We are blessed to find this program. Concordia Place, apart from supporting us with wipes, diapers, and baby items, is a program that has provided great support on an emotional and psychological level. We have felt accompanied at every stage of Conner’s development.”

Home Visiting

Weaving families together with strength and care

We think of every family as a unique thread—each with its own color, story, and rhythm. When our home visitors step through a family’s doorway, they bring tools, knowledge, and encouragement, but they also bring connection. This year, we helped weave hundreds of these threads into something stronger: families who feel seen and supported, parents who feel equipped, and children whose earliest experiences set the foundation for future learning and wellbeing.

Our Home Visiting program became a lifeline for many new neighbors settling into our communities. Families like Nadia and William’s remind us why this work matters. Through regular visits and developmental support for their son, Conner, they found more than resources—they found connection.

Their story is one thread in a growing tapestry of families who feel seen, supported, and woven into the fabric of their new community.

Early Childhood Education

Shaping Early Learning and Growth

When Conner’s family transitioned from our Home Visiting program to Early Childhood Education, it marked the next stitch in their journey with Concordia Place. Their top priority was finding a place where Conner would feel safe, nurtured, and ready to explore his world.

Our Promise

Our truest success shows up in daily moments: a nonverbal child engaging with peers for the first time; a child who once struggled with transitions now helping new classmates; an infant who couldn’t walk now moving confidently through the classroom. It’s the relief from parents who feel their child is finally seen and celebrated.

This is what it looks like when inclusion isn’t just a policy—it’s a promise. At Concordia Place, rich diversity strengthens learning and growth for all, as we work to disrupt social inequities through high-quality education that embraces every child and family, together.

The staff put such care and mindfulness into the structure, activities and I love that everything centers around social emotional learning! My child grew more over the summer than during the entire kindergarten year.”

School-Age 365

Belonging + Community

As children grow, their world expands—new friends, new ideas, new challenges. School-Age 365 is where many of those threads come together. Whether through homework help, hands-on learning, or leadership-building activities, our staff create a space where children feel part of something bigger. Together, they weave friendships, resilience, and a sense of belonging that carries into school, home, and beyond.

Teens

Building the Tapestry of Tomorrow

At Concordia Place, every program is a unique strand in a larger tapestry—woven together to create a vibrant, resilient whole.

In our Teen Leadership program, this interconnectedness shines through. When Maksym, a 16-year-old who fled Ukraine after Russia’s invasion, joined our Ruckus Teens program, he carried the weight of trauma, isolation, and uncertainty. At first, he was quiet and withdrawn, unsure how to find his place in a new country and language. But through the supportive web of mentorship, peer connection, and opportunities that define Concordia Place, Maksym began to thrive.

Encouraged by caring staff and inspired by his peers, he grew more confident—leading projects, speaking publicly, and forming friendships across cultures. As his confidence and well-being strengthened, so did his academic success: Maksym is now fluent in English and attends a competitive magnet high school. Through Teen Leadership’s hands-on learning, he also discovered his entrepreneurial spark—designing custom soap dishes and launching his own small business.

Maksym’s journey is one strand in the rich fabric of Concordia Place—a testament to how, when our programs weave together, they create something stronger and more beautiful than any single thread could on its own.
